The Brown City Green Devils were the 60-40 winner over the Peck Pirates when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. Brown City fell 57-44 to Peck on Tuesday.
Leading Peck to victory were Thomas West and Carsten Lieblang. West dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Lieblang went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 25 points and 1 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Cal Heiden, who scored 11 points.
Brown City has fallen quite a ways from their 22-2 record last season and are now at 1-2. As for Peck, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brown City will take on Caro at 7:30 p.m. on December 13th. Hopefully Caro focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday. As for Peck, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Akron-Fairgrove at 7:30 p.m.
