North East put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Girard Yellowjackets with a sharp 6-0 victory. Considering the Grape Pickers have won four matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Jerek Turlij made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 16 over seven innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
