Section 2 B - West recap Oct. 23, 2012
Schuylerville moved up to 178 from 231 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Section 2 B - West. The Horses were able to make move up by besting Lansingburgh 20-19.
Glens Falls extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Albany Academy for Boys, 36-0. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Indians.
Schuylerville's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Horses feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Shane Lyon has thrown for 307 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Austin Cook has eight catches for 168 yards. Lyon also leads the league in rushing with 928 yards.
Lyon of the Schuylerville is only 72 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
A big matchup in Section 2 B - West this week will be when Patrick Lilac's team takes on Greg O'Connor's team. The Indians are in second place, while the Horses are in fourth place.
Schuylerville and the Knights played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Schuylerville eventually emerging with a 20-19 victory.
