Brother Rice entered their tilt with Loyola Academy on Monday with 21 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 22. They came out on top against the Ramblers by a score of 7-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Crusaders also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Tadgh Callaghan looked comfortable as he pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Conner Stack was excellent, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Cunningham, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Brother Rice pushed their record up to 23-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 11 runs. As for Loyola Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.

Brother Rice will have a chance to go back-to-back against Loyola Academy: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
