Athens won the last time they faced New Lexington and things went their way on Friday too. The Bulldogs blew past the Panthers 11-4. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Athens has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for New Lexington, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Athens has already played their next contest (against Fairfield Union), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for New Lexington, they will face off against West Muskingum at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tornadoes will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
