The McMahon Senators were the 65-60 winner over the Stamford Black Knights when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. McMahon lost to Stamford at home by a decisive 64-47 margin on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points McMahon has scored all season.
It was another big night for Ejai Presley , who scored 18 points along with six assists and six steals for Stamford. That makes it three consecutive games in which Presley has scored at least 25% of Stamford's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Winchester, who scored 15 points.
McMahon's loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-4. As for Stamford, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McMahon will challenge Staples at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Staples focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday. As for Stamford, they will head out on the road to face off against Bridgeport Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bridgeport Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Connecticut Rankings (they are ranked 125th, while Stamford is ranked 11th).
