The Tri County Northeast Wolfpack lost to the Omaha Nation Chiefs back in February of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. Tri County Northeast came out on top against Omaha Nation by a score of 60-51.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tri County Northeast to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rhyanne Mackling, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Briley Anderson, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Tri County Northeast's victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-13. As for Omaha Nation, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-10.
Tri County Northeast's road trip will continue as they head out to face Bancroft-Rosalie at 7:30 p.m. on February 13th. Tri County Northeast will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nebraska Rankings (they are ranked 213th, while Bancroft-Rosalie is ranked 93rd). Omaha Nation does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
