The Suffern Mounties fell victim to the Arlington Admirals''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Admirals, falling 30-0. While losing is never fun, Suffern can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 212th, while Arlington is ranked 20th).
Leading Arlington to victory were Michael Rescigno and Nick DeGuisto. Rescigno only threw for no passing yards and failed to score a touchdown in addition to 93 yards on the ground, while DeGuisto rushed for 86 yards on only five carries.
Suffern has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. As for Arlington, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Suffern will head out on the road to face off against Mamaroneck at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mamaroneck will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Arlington will take on Ossining at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
