Morgan entered their tilt with Ben Lomond on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Scots a 17-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 26-2 two weeks ago.
Callie Averett made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
