Morgan entered their tilt with Ben Lomond on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Scots a 17-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 26-2 two weeks ago.
Callie Averett made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
In other batting news, Joesi Kelly was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Morgan's record is now 13-5. As for Ben Lomond, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-10.
