Monroe and the Rams are an even 4-4 against one another since December of 2014, but not for long. The Monroe Hornets will head out on the road to challenge the Ross Rams at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Ross took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Monroe, who comes in off a win.
Monroe scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Northwest by a score of 78-71. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Meanwhile, Ross' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They fell 51-38 to East Central. Ross has not had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Monroe's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Ross, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.
Monroe beat the Rams 48-36 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Monroe since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
