On Monday, Sturgeon didn't have too much trouble with La Plata on the road as they won 60-42. With that victory, Sturgeon brought their scoring average up to 50 points per game.
It was another big night for Isaac Bolles, who scored 24 points along with two steals and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Kelly, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Sturgeon has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-12 record this season. As for La Plata, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sturgeon won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Community at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. Hopefully Sturgeon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Monday. As for La Plata, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Meadville at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. La Plata is coming into the matchup with three straight defeats at home, meaning Meadville will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory.
