Huron recap September 10, 2013
Milan scaled the state rankings by moving to 130 from 162 this week, the biggest jump in Huron. The Big Reds climbed the ranks as a result of topping Riverview 48-28.
Grosse Ile was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from fifth to third in the league. Earlier in the week, the Red Devils defeated Huron 28-3.
Andrew Mitroka and Andrew Mitroka gave Grosse Ile a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Mitroka threw for 113 yards and 2 touchdowns, while Mitroka ran for 200 yards. Joe Vollmerhausen also contributed to the rushing game with 102 yards on the ground.
Mitroka and Mitroka gave John Bodner's team a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week.
Gage Smith was the best wideout in the league this week as Milan defeated the Pirates. Smith racked up 6 receptions for 154 yards. Trace Lindeman helped Milan's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 11 yards.
Mitroka put up the best numbers through the air as the Red Devils defeated the Chiefs. Mitroka's favorite target this week was Justin Moores, who caught 4 passes for 57 yards.
Mitroka was the most successful running back in Huron this week.
