The Glen Allen Jaguars have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 65-52 to Highland Springs on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Glen Allen has scored all season.
Several Jaguars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Faron Friend, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. The match was Friend's 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dallas Chavis, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Glen Allen has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season. As for Highland Springs, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Glen Allen and Massaponax will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Massaponax will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Highland Springs will take on Matoaca at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
