Collins is 6-0 against Richton since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Collins Tigers will play host again and welcome the Richton Rebels, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Collins can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. Everything went their way against Heidelberg as Collins made off with a 69-44 win. With Collins ahead 43-18 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Collins got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaylen Willingham out in front who scored 21 points. Another player making a difference was Logan White, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Richton earned a 78-65 win over Heidelberg on Tuesday. With that victory, Richton brought their scoring average up to 51.4 points per game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Richton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dakota Amos, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten assists. That's the first time this season that Amos posted eight or more assists. Dave Woulard was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Collins' victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.6 points per game. As for Richton, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 14-7.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Collins hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 60 points per game. It's a different story for Richton, though, as they've been averaging only 51.4 points per game. The only thing between Collins and another offensive beatdown is Richton. Will they be able to keep them contained?
Everything came up roses for Collins against Richton in their previous matchup back in February of 2019 as the squad secured a 71-44 victory. Will Collins repeat their success, or does Richton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
