The biggest upset of the week belonged to Trinity, who took down 552nd ranked Trinity, 35-27. Romario Acosta threw for 164 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 105 yards in the win.
Nate Smith and Travis Mendes provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Durham. The connection was good for 62 yards, the longest such play in Sacramento Valley this season.
Elijah Chapman was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 190 yards on 21 carries as Mt. Shasta fell to Willows. Teammate Acord added to the ground attack by rushing for 36 yards.
Acord was the best wideout in the league this week as the Bears fell to the Honkers. Acord racked up three receptions for 86 yards. Dylan Padula helped Mt. Shasta's passing attack out by catching three balls for 45 yards.
Live Oak's Acosta and Aaron Pamma have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Sacramento Valley in both passing and receiving yards. Acosta has thrown for 811 yards this season, while Pamma has 13 catches for 294 yards. Cory Cook from the Wolves leads the league in rushing with 776 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Trinity takes on Pierce. Jeremy Wardrip's team is currently in fourth, while the Bears are in first.
Pierce extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Trojans, 21-20. The victory was the seventh in a row for Scott Burnum's team.
