 Kassi Perkins was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out six batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and not a single walk). Perkins was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-2 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  RBI. Those  two  stolen bases gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Malana Hamm was  incredible,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with five  stolen bases, three  runs,  and two  RBI. Those  five  stolen bases gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Kelbie Ford, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with three  runs, three  RBI,  and one  stolen base.
 Rowan County  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Menifee County didn't  got any hits.
Rowan County pushed their record up to 20-5 with the  victory, which was their tenth straight  at home dating back to last season. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Menifee County, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost ten of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record  this season.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rowan County will welcome Russell  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
