The Mineral County Serpents posted their biggest win since December 1, 2023 on Saturday. They breezed by Sage Ridge on the road to the tune of 79-45. The victory was nothing new for Mineral County as they're now sitting on three straight.
It was another big night for DeVayne Isom, who scored 24 points along with eight steals and seven assists. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times he's played. Triston Jones was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Mineral County is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Sage Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Excel Christian the next time they take the court. Mineral County will host Excel Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Sage Ridge will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
