Tuscola got themselves on the board against Swain County on Tuesday, but Swain County never followed suit. They blew past the Maroon Devils 15-0. The Mountaineers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.

Amos Rich was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Bo West, who fired off two home runs, four runs, and four RBI while going 4-for-5. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Kolt Nelson, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Tuscola always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .659. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory (which was Tuscola's fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Swain County, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 11-7 record.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Tuscola beat the Maroon Devils by a score of 10-1 on Wednesday.
