Martinsburg hasn't had much luck against Hedgesville recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will face off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Martinsburg will be strutting in after a victory while Hedgesville will be coming in after a loss.
Martinsburg took a eight-run defeat the last time they faced off against Musselman, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bulldogs skirted past the Applemen 8-7. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Madison Rogers tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, DJ Houser was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples, four RBI, and one run. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Kamarrah Dozier was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
Martinsburg always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Musselman only posted an OBP of .333.
Meanwhile, Hedgesville lost 9-1 to Spring Mills on Friday. The Eagles have struggled against the Cardinals recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.
Maggie Boyer put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Boyer was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Boyer wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Lexie Brown, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.
Hedgesville's loss dropped their record down to 10-12-1. As for Martinsburg, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-9 and their overall record up to 5-18.
Martinsburg suffered a grim 17-9 defeat to Hedgesville when the teams last played last Friday. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
