Wausau West was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight  defeat. They came up short against  the Eau Claire Memorial Old Abes, falling  3-0. The Warriors were not able to make up for their  loss to the Old Abes from their previous meeting  back in September of 2023.
 While Wausau West ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-21,  25-21.
 Eau Claire Memorial's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Addison Schroeder, who  had 19  assists and ten  digs. That's the most  digs  Schroeder has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ella Staupe, who  had 15 assists and five  digs.
Wausau West's defeat dropped their record down to 11-18. As for Eau Claire Memorial,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 19-19.
 Wausau West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eau Claire Memorial, they have already played their next match,  a  3-0  loss against Hudson on the 25th.
