Even though the Seymour Wildcats scored an imposing 55 points on Wednesday, the Holy Cross Crusaders still came out on top. Holy Cross enjoyed a cozy 69-55 victory over Seymour. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Holy Cross.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Indrit Peraj, who scored 27 points along with nine rebounds. Peraj scored a full 49.1% of Seymour's points, the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Carrafiello, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Holy Cross now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Seymour, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-2.
Holy Cross will head out on the road to face off against Wolcott at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wolcott is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Seymour, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Crosby at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Crosby has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 534 points over their last seven contests.
