The Tate Aggies and the Niceville Eagles squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but sadly the Tate Aggies had to settle for second. They took a 48-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Tate has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Tate still got an impressive performance from Evan Bignell, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. Bignell is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Deonne Williams, jr., who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Even though they lost, Tate smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Niceville only pulled down three offensive rebounds.
Jackson Kowal was his usual excellent self, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds for Niceville. Anwar Conley was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Tate's defeat dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Niceville, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-11.
Tate does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Niceville, they will head out on the road to square off against Milton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Niceville is coming into the game with five straight wins on the road, meaning Milton will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
