On Monday, the Denver East Angels faced the DSST: Conservatory Green Hornets in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Denver East simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat DSST: Conservatory Green 79-33 at home. Denver East's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Denver East to victory, but perhaps none more so than James Murray, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Maurice Fulcher, who scored 17 points.
DSST: Conservatory Green's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Miles Wojcik, who scored 11 points. Azar Ghezae was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 7 rebounds.
Denver East's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for DSST: Conservatory Green, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Denver East will take on Overland at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Overland knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Denver East likes a good challenge. As for DSST: Conservatory Green, they will look to defend their home court on December 12th against The Pinnacle at 7:30 p.m.
