While the Chambers Academy Rebels couldn't quite beat the Abbeville Christian Academy Generals on Thursday, the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 27-point defeat they were dealt last Tuesday. Chambers Academy fell just short of Abbeville Christian Academy by a score of 57-55. Chambers Academy has not had much luck with Abbeville Christian Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Javarse Turner was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds for Abbeville Christian Academy. Turner has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Buckhannon, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Chambers Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Abbeville Christian Academy, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-7.
Chambers Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Abbeville Christian Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
