Basketball Recap: Miami Piles Up the Points Against Dove Science Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Miami). They blew past the Dove Science Academy Raptors, posting a 108-29 win. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Wardogs with their most commanding win of the season.

Miami found their leader in freshman Lane Walther, who went 6 for 7 from beyond the arc on his way to 25 points and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Walther has scored all season. Waike Roblyer was another key player, going 6 of 9 on his way to 13 points.

Miami smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive rebounds. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive board total in three consecutive matchups.

Miami now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Dove Science Academy, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Miami won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Vinita at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Dove Science Academy will take on Henryetta in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Henryetta has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
