Basketball Recap: Fideles Christian Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses at Home

If Killian Hill Christian wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Fideles Christian, they should've done a better job of containing Xander Lipinski. The Fideles Christian Rangers breezed by the Killian Hill Christian Cougars to the tune of 76-35 on Friday thanks in part to Lipinski, who went 15 of 22 on his way to 38 points along with six rebounds and three steals. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Andrew McWhorter also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in boards (four).

Killian Hill Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ronald Skeete, who posted 15 points. Christian Kang was another key player, putting up nine points.

Fideles Christian's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-15. As for Killian Hill Christian, they dropped their record down to 1-16 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Fideles Christian has already played their next match, a 56-54 defeat against St. John Bosco Academy on the 28th. As for Killian Hill Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 60-28 loss against HALO on the 27th.
