The Northeast Guilford Rams lost against the Southern Guilford Storm back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Northeast Guilford had to suffer through a rough 75-44 loss at the hands of Southern Guilford. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Northeast Guilford has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Northeast Guilford saw an underclassman step up: Aaryn Tate scored 14 points along with five assists. Ashton Timberlake was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
Northeast Guilford struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Northeast Guilford now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Southern Guilford, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Northeast Guilford will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on High Point Central at 8:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Southern Guilford will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on LEAD Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 28th. Hopefully LEAD Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday.
