LEXINGTON, Ohio -
Jalen Reese threw two touchdowns and ran for two more as
Mansfield Senior (Mansfield, Ohio) beat Lexington (Ohio) 44-7 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Reese in the first quarter, the Tygers were up 21-7 at the half.
Mansfield Senior grew its lead to 27 points entering the fourth quarter. MS scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown.
Even though the Mansfield school led by 27 points at the start of the fourth quarter, it didn't let up, scoring 10 in the quarter.
Lexington's lone touchdown came on a 3-yard run in the second quarter.
The Tygers went into the matchup giving up only 14.6 points per game.
Mansfield Senior also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 40-21.
In a Ohio Cardinal game next week Lexington (1-8) takes on Ashland, and Mansfield Senior (9-0) will go up against Madison Comprehensive also in a Ohio Cardinal game.
