After flying high against Rocky River  on Tuesday, Palisades came back down to earth. The Pumas lost  3-0 to the East Mecklenburg Eagles on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  3-0  back in September.
 Palisades took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-17,  25-18.

 Defeat or not, Palisades got some senior leadership from  Alyssa Moreno and  Kinsley Polk.  Moreno  had 11  digs and one  assist, while  Polk  had 12  digs and one  assist. Those 12  digs set a new season-high mark for  Polk.
 East Mecklenburg can attribute much of their success to  Riley Ketterhagen, who  had 17  digs and one assist.
Palisades' loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for East Mecklenburg, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record  this season.
 Palisades will be taking part in a tournament against Rocky River  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Pumas are facing the Ravens at the right time seeing as the Ravens are stuck on  a  five-game losing streak. East Mecklenburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
