After flying high against Rocky River on Tuesday, Palisades came back down to earth. The Pumas lost 3-0 to the East Mecklenburg Eagles on Thursday. Defeat or not, Palisades got some senior leadership from Alyssa Moreno and Kinsley Polk. Moreno had 11 digs and one assist, while Polk had 12 digs and one assist. Those 12 digs set a new season-high mark for Polk.
East Mecklenburg can attribute much of their success to Riley Ketterhagen, who had 17 digs and one assist.
Palisades' loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for East Mecklenburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.
