Stern had won six straight games and Jr Romero did his part to make it seven on Thursday. The Stern Titans strolled past the Smidt Tech Grey Wolves with points to spare, taking the game 55-39 thanks in part to Romero, who posted 21 points and six steals. His afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Dean Garcia, who put up seven points and eight boards. Those eight rebounds gave him a new career-high.

Stern pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Smidt Tech, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.

Stern will head out on the road to square off against Rise Kohyang at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Smidt Tech, they and Alliance Bloomfield will face off at 3:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Smidt Tech is facing Alliance Bloomfield at the right time seeing as Alliance Bloomfield is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
