After flying high against Pike Road  last Saturday, Excel came back down to earth. The Excel Panthers fell  12-8 to the Blacksher Bulldogs on Monday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in March of 2024.
 Excel saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Holden Stacey, who  scored two  runs and  stole  Three bases. while  getting on base  in all five of his plate appearances. Another  was  Trent Williams, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-5.
Excel's defeat was  their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Blacksher, the  victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-4.
 Coming up, Excel will welcome St. Paul's Episcopal  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Excel has given up an average of 9.7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Blacksher, they will venture away from home to  square off against Excel  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday.
