They snuck past Del Valle with a 61-56 win. Given Lake Creek's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 230th, while Del Valle is ranked 770th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jett Sutton continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Aedan Lewis, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Lake Creek is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Del Valle, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-11.
