Maximus Barroso Delivers Best Performance of Season
Chino was led to victory by Maximus Barroso, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Barroso threw for 266 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 57 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries.
With the victory, Chino broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-5. Barroso and Chino will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on South Hills at 7:00 p.m. on October 17th.

Covina pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Duronslet and Covina are taking a road trip to take on Diamond Bar at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Rounding off our Top Five is Quinton Mendoza of Diamond Bar. Mendoza threw for 134 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
If the past is any indication, Mendoza could be in store for another big game when he takes on Covina on Thursday. Mendoza threw for 295 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes the last time he and the Colts duked it out back in August of 2023.
