London had won five straight home games and Riley Cremeens did her part to make it six on Wednesday. The Red Raiders put the hurt on Worthington Christian with a sharp 3-0 victory with plenty of help from Cremeens, who had 11 digs and one assist. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last nine games she's played.
The final score came out to 25-14, 25-12, 25-17.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bishop Ready, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Lakewood on Wednesday.
One reason for the win was Bishop Ready's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-10, 25-9.
London better focus on containing Allyson Creighton and Alex Rawlings as the pair were huge in Bishop Ready's win. Creighton had nine digs and five aces, while Rawlings had four aces and three digs. That's the most aces Rawlings has posted over her last seven matches.
Bishop Ready was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces every time they've taken the court this season.
London's record now sits at 13-9. As for Bishop Ready, their record is now 17-3.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: London hasn't let much over the net this season, having averaged 4.4 blocks per game. It's a different story for Bishop Ready, though, as they've been averaging only 1.6 blocks. Given London's sizable advantage in that area, the Silver Knights will need to find a way to close that gap.
London took their win against Bishop Ready in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Raiders since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
