Section 1 AA - 2 recap September 17, 2013
North Rockland was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in Section 1 AA - 2. The Raiders beat Mamaroneck 14-0 earlier in the week.
Arlington moved up to 162 from 190 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Admirals climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Fox Lane 28-6.
Arlington's dynamic duo of Brandon Tobin and Jason Harrand proved tough for the Foxes to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Tobin threw for 163 yards and Harrand had 88 yards receiving.
Dominick DeMatteo's team's dynamic duo of Tobin and Harrand proved to be unstoppable against Fox Lane, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Harrand was the best receiver in the league this week as the Admirals beat Steve Quinn's team.
Marquez Jackson-Allen was the best running back in Section 1 AA - 2 this week. In 12 carries, he ran for 52 yards as the Tigers bested the Foxes. Emerson Genovese also contributed to the rushing game with 14 yards on the ground.
Tobin put up the best numbers in passing as the Admirals bested Fox Lane.
Arlington's Tobin and Harrand have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Tobin has thrown for 272 yards this season, while Harrand has 11 catches for 164 yards. Mamaroneck's Jackson-Allen leads the league in rushing yards with 111.
The Admirals are in third place, while John Jay is in first place.
The Foxes fell to Arlington 28-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
