The Lakeside Knights put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Stockton 71-22 at home. Lakeside's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Lakeside's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaden Mccoy, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and five steals. Mccoy set a new season high mark in steals with five. Reece Remus was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds.
Lakeside's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. As for Stockton, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Lakeside will head out on the road to face off against Bennington at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bennington knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Lakeside likes a good challenge. As for Stockton, they will be playing at home against Tescott on Tuesday. Tescott presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Stockton in Kansas (Tescott is ranked 126th, while Stockton is ranked 264th).
