Lutheran West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 60-22 loss at the hands of the Harvey Red Raiders. On the bright side, the 22- point effort marked the Longhorns' highest-scoring matchup to date.
Harvey got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Shahn Alston out in front who rushed for 261 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also picked up 36 receiving yards. Alston's longest rush was for an incredible 90 yards. Markese Wise was another key passer, throwing for 220 yards and three TDs while completing 90.9% of his passes.
Lutheran West's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Harvey, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-5.
