The Southwest Covenant Patriots lost against the Cheyenne/Reydon Bears back in January of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Southwest Covenant was outmatched by Cheyenne/Reydon on the road and fell 64-29. Southwest Covenant has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
It was another big night for Kimbo Denney, who scored 28 points for Cheyenne/Reydon. Denney is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kynli Carlson, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Southwest Covenant's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Cheyenne/Reydon, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season.
Southwest Covenant and Union City will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Cheyenne/Reydon will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Erick at 6:30 p.m. on January 9th. Erick will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 317th, while Cheyenne/Reydon is ranked 128th).
