If the Oakcrest Falcons were expecting to get some payback for the 46-42 loss against the Holy Spirit Spartans when they previously met in January, then they were left disappointed. Oakcrest took a hard 62-51 fall against Holy Spirit on Wednesday. The Falcons' defeat continues a disappointing trend for the squad, making it four in a row.
The Falcons' loss pushed them down to 5-15. The Spartans' victory brought them up to 13-7.
The Falcons are staying on the road Friday to face off against Hammonton. Oakcrest is the slight favorite, but fans of both teams should be in for an exciting contest likely to go down to the wire. As for Holy Spirit, they will face off against Atlantic County Institute of Tech on Monday. Holy Spirit won't have the home-court advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
