Fayetteville Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ben Webster, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Ethan Durgadin, who scored 16 points.
Fayetteville Christian struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Freedom Christian Academy racked up 14 assists.
Freedom Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Karsten Swinney, who scored 21 points along with four steals. Swinney is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 14 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Haidyn Bell, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds.
Fayetteville Christian has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Freedom Christian Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fayetteville Christian will take on O'Neal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. O'Neal is no doubt hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. As for Freedom Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Berean Baptist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Berean Baptist Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 59 points per game.
