The Rondout Valley Ganders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Wallkill on the road and fell 67-27. Rondout Valley was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-9.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wallkill to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zoe Mesuch, who scored 21 points. Mia Domingues was another key contributor, going 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 18 points and 1 assist.
Rondout Valley has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Wallkill, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
Rondout Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Spackenkill at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Wallkill, they will head out on the road to challenge New Paltz at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
