Carlson won the last time they faced Riverview and things went their way on Saturday too. The Marauders blew past the Pirates 12-5. The Marauders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.

Carlson got a massive performance out of Preston Eighmey, who went 4-for-5 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those five RBI gave Eighmey a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kyle Salisbury, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with four runs and one stolen base.

Carlson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Carlson pushed their record up to 14-9 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Riverview, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's still a better percentage than their 4-18 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carlson will head out to challenge Edsel Ford at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Riverview, they will venture away from home to square off against Jefferson at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
