It was another big night for Britni Silver, who went 7 of 13 from beyond the arc en route to 35 points in addition to eight rebounds and seven steals. Another player making a difference was Charlazha Wilson, who went 7 for 14 on her way to 20 points along with five boards and four steals.
D.H. Conley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in seven consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Northside - Jacksonville played a tough match last Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Havelock, falling 49-24. The Monarchs were down 39-14 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
D.H. Conley will need focus on slowing down Laila Humphrey, one of several Northside - Jacksonville players who made an impact when they last played. She posted four points in addition to five rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Anyla Prass, who had four points and seven boards.
D.H. Conley is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Northside - Jacksonville, they dropped their record down to 6-4 with the loss, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: D.H. Conley has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 26.3 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Northside - Jacksonville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 35.3 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
