Rivercrest is 8-2 against Harrisburg since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Rivercrest Colts will be playing at home against the Harrisburg Hornets at 4:30 p.m. Rivercrest is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak dating back to last season.
It looked like the Kentucky Derby when Rivercrest took on Hoxie on Tuesday. Rivercrest fell just short of Hoxie by a score of 4-3.
Katelyn Ostendorf put in work while hitting and pitching. She tossed six innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one double. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI.

In other batting news, Ella Gonzalez was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, Harrisburg was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Walnut Ridge. The Hornets haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.
Hawlee Morris spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on 12 hits and racked up eight Ks.
On the hitting side, Hannah Mross made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.
Harrisburg's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Rivercrest, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
Rivercrest's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's contest. Rivercrest has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.3 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Harrisburg, though, as they've been averaging only 0.7 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Rivercrest continue to outrun the ball?
