Patuxent's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mya White led the charge by scoring six points along with six rebounds and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for her. Autumn Kern was another key contributor, scoring five points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Northwestern's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Patuxent, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 3-5 record this season.
Northwestern will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Calvert at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Calvert is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. Patuxent won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against La Plata at 10:30 a.m. on December 29, 2023. La Plata is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
