The Glenbrook Apaches had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 44.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They blew past Plain Dealing 70-20 at home. The result was nothing new for Glenbrook, who have now won six contests by 22 points or more so far this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Glenbrook to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chase Sentell, who rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 38 receiving yards. Sentell was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 61 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Landry Powell, who gained 111 total yards and two touchdowns.
Glenbrook's victory was their 11th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 7-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.2 points per game. As for Plain Dealing, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glenbrook will square off against Homer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Plain Dealing, they will head out on the road to face off against Beekman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
