Volleyball Recap: Appleton North Gets the Win

Appleton North had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Indian Trail Hawks 2-1. The Lightning haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

NATHAN RAMUS paced Appleton North's offense, picking up 11 kills. RAMUS got some help from SAOLAI THAO and his 13 assists. SAMUEL KUEHL controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Defeat or not, Indian Trail got some senior leadership from Mason Fiene and Brayden Phillips. Fiene had 18 assists and five digs, while Phillips had eight digs and three aces.

Indian Trail's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Appleton North didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Franklin on the 27th. As for Indian Trail, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Kimberly on the 27th.
