The Dunellen Destroyers stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 38-15 margin over Mother Seton. The win was nothing new for Dunellen as they're now sitting on three straight.
Dunellen found their leader in underclassman Brielle Villanueva-Jadotte, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Villanueva-Jadotte has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Wendy Woll, who scored six points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Dunellen is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Mother Seton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dunellen won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Patriots at 2:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Perth Amboy Vo-Tech is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Mother Seton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Governors at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (South Amboy: 29.7, the Setters: 23.4) so any points scored will be well earned.
