On Friday, Cornerstone Christian came up short against Eagle Pass and fell 65-54.
Despite the loss, Cornerstone Christian still got an impressive performance from Benjamin Wagner, who scored 18 points along with 8 rebounds. Wagner continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Joaquin Galindo, who scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds.
Cornerstone Christian's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Eagle Pass, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-7.
Cornerstone Christian will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Veterans Memorial at 9:00 a.m. on December 9th. Veterans Memorial is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games. As for Eagle Pass, they will head out on the road to face off against Harlandale at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Harlandale knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Eagle Pass likes a good challenge.
