The Standley Lake Gators''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 49-6 loss at the hands of Dakota Ridge. Standley Lake has struggled against Dakota Ridge recently, as their matchup on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Dakota Ridge got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Blake Palladino out in front who rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and also threw for 170 yards and two touchdowns on only 16 passes. Another player making a difference was Alex Arnold, who picked up 114 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Standley Lake has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Dakota Ridge, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
Standley Lake will head out on the road to face off against Thomas Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Thomas Jefferson will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. Dakota Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
